MMDC providess HCV genotyping services using molecular phylogenetic method. Though this method requires more technical skills and more expensive capital investment, it produces more reliable results because a) it looks at a big region of HCV genome rather than several single mutation points, b) it can look at any (including the most heterogeneous) region of HCV genome and c) it is the gold standard method for genotyping and subtyping of all living organisms .
MMDC provides HBV genotyping services using molecular phylogenetic method.
MMDC provides genotypic HBV drug sensitivity testing service using sequence information of the virus. Region of HBV genome that contains mutations associated with resistance is sequenced and compared with that of wild type to predict drug sensitivity. For all genotypic drug sensitivity tests, sequencing based solutions are considered to be the most reliable.
MMDC provides genotypic HIV drug sensitivity testing service using nucleotide sequence information of the virus. Regions encoding Reverse Transcriptase and Protease genes are sequenced and compared with corresponding nucleotide sequence of wild type to predict sensitivity of all HIV drugs approved by FDA so far.
